About Jeevan Suraksha Charitable Society
14+ Years of Dignified, Compassionate & Holistic Eldercare in Central India
Jeevan Suraksha Charitable Society is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2010 with a singular, deeply human purpose — to care for the elderly, the chronically ill, and those facing life-limiting conditions with dignity, compassion, and respect. Based in Nagpur, the Society has evolved into Central India's only integrated elder-care institution, where medical care is seamlessly combined with emotional, social, and spiritual support.
Over more than 14 years, the Society has provided continuous care to more than 1,500 senior citizens and terminally ill patients — many mobile, semi-bedridden, or bedridden, suffering from advanced age-related, neurological, oncological, or chronic conditions. Each individual has been cared for not as a case, but as a human being — with empathy, patience, and respect.
Our Philosophy: Care with Dignity, Service with Compassion
Aging, illness, dependency, and the end of life are deeply personal experiences. Medical treatment alone is never enough — true care must address physical comfort and pain management, emotional security and reassurance, psychological and social well-being, spiritual peace and inner dignity, and family understanding and support.
Our care philosophy recognizes that seniors are not defined by their illnesses or limitations — they are individuals with life stories, relationships, memories, values, and emotions.
Who We Serve
An Integrated Approach to Eldercare
Jeevan Suraksha is recognized for its integrated eldercare model, bringing together medical supervision, 24×7 nursing and paramedical support, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, nutritional planning, emotional counseling, social engagement, spiritual support, and family bereavement care — all under one compassionate framework.
This integrated approach ensures continuity of care, reduces fragmentation, and allows each resident to experience stability, comfort, and a sense of belonging.
Leadership & Visionary Guidance
Jeevan Suraksha was founded under the visionary leadership of Dr. Shyam Narsinghdas Laddha, a medical professional with nearly 40 years of experience, including over 20 years in neurology. In 1999, he also founded Jeevan Raksha Medical Rescue & Resuscitation Training Institute, training over 3,00,000 individuals through 6,500+ CPR and lifesaving workshops in partnership with the Indian Red Cross Society.
“Holding hands to help them walk — who once taught us to walk by holding our hand — is life going full circle.”
